We Were in the Field for Focus Group Discussions in April!

Throughout the month of April, we conducted focus group discussions with the personnel of the Ministry of Family and Social Services (MoFSS) and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MoLSS). These discussions were organized to analyze the needs of the child protection system.

One of the aims of our project is to support the MoFSS and the MoLss in building their capacities to improve intra- and inter-institutional coordination for the activities related to child rights. Furthermore, our aims also include establishing cooperation between public institutions, social partners and CSOs in the field of child welfare. As part of this work, project experts will develop a Communication, Coordination and Information Sharing Document.

We Conducted Interviews with 1754 Personnel from Provincial Organizations

Our project experts, first, conducted focus group discussions as part of the study.  These discussions helped us to analyse the needs of the child protection system. Furthermore, for the quantitative component of our study, we collected data from 1754 personnel working in provincial organizations of the Ministry of Family and Social Services. This data is intended to guide our project team in the preparation of both the "Current Situation Analysis" and the "Communication, Coordination and Information Sharing Strategy Document" reports.

Following these interviews, as part of the quantitative study, questionnaires were administered to 1749 MoFSS and 260 MoLSS personnel. As part of the qualitative study, we conducted in-depth interviews with 12 personnel from the Directorate General of Child Services (DGCS) and carried out focus group discussions with participants from 15 different General Directorates of the Ministry. We also carried out another focus group discussion with participants from only DGCS. The findings of these studies will contribute greatly to the final version of the Current Situation Analysis.
