“Technical Assistance for the Support for Children's Rights in Turkey“, Özne Çocuk, is being implemented by the Ministry of Family and Social Services (MoFSS) as the End Beneficiary (EB), Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MoLSS) as the Co-Beneficiary (CB), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs (DEUA of MoFA) as the Lead Institution and the Central Finance and Contracts Unit (CFCU) as the Contracting Authority of the project. The project is funded by the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance 2014-2020 (IPA II).
The aim of this project is to support the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security in implementing holistic rights-based policies to the benefit of children in Turkey with a child-centred, rights-based and inclusive approach. Within the scope of this objective, work will be carried out with central public institutions, especially MoFSS who is responsible for child care and protection services, social services for children and psycosocial support services, and with MoLSS who is responsible for the prevention of child labour, as well as other various stakeholders. In addition, the project objectives will be supported with the participation of civil society organizations (CSOs), private sector officials, local administrations, training experts, mukhtars, religious officials, parents and the general public.
